Songwriter, Recognized
by other Texas artists as a songwriter with a slightly different
perspective,
several of Rodney's songs have been recorded by Texas talents, the most
recent being That’s When I’m Coming Home on Dub Miller’s latest
album.
"TBJT,
the cd, is as eclectic as the people I've met and the music I've played
over the years. It's a direct result of my influences;
Country, Tejano, Blues, Rock, Western Swing, and even a little Jazz. If
you listen close, you’ll hear a few songs that I somehow got all of
these genres mixed in together - & it worked."
"As
much as I listen to, and love, old, old, country, I also like it to
drive.
I like
Jim Reeves, but I love Waylon. I
like Ernest Tubb, but I really dig the energy of Texas music, as it is,
right now!"
Roots with
drive is good.
Lord, in Texas,
Everything for me is just right

Texas" R. Pyeatt
